10 days of workshops, discussions and spaces for lesbian, bi and queer women* to celebrate and explore all-things intimacy, pleasure and sex.

This takeover is for all self-identifying women who identify as lesbian, bisexual, queer or questioning, all or part of the time, including trans women, B.A.M.E women and women of colour, older women, disabled/neurodivergent women, women who are seeking asylum or have no recourse to public funds, women of all faiths and backgrounds, non-binary/gender fluid people and transfeminine people.

LOST APPETITES: WHERE DOES DESIRE GO AND WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT?

Monday, 6pm @ Thoughtworks

A close look at models and cycles of sexual desire, who we are and what ignites us, and what to do with sex in long term relationships. Expect innuendo, crude terminology and kindness.

This workshop is led by Tabitha Bast who is bang in the middle of an MsC in Psychosexual Therapy and practicing with couples and individuals on placement following a lifelong interest in all things sex and relational.

TRANScending INTIMACY

Monday, 8pm @ Thoughtworks

A space for trans and NB people to look at the issues which affect us in the worlds of dating, sex, and intimacy, so you can feel more safe and confident creating positive sexual and romantic experiences in your life

This workshop is led by Abbie Wolfe who is the Principal Facilitator of Belladonna Experiences, and identifies as bisexual, trans, polyamourous, and gender-fluid.

Queer Women's Sexual Pleasure 101

Tuesday, 6pm @ Pioneer Coffee, Federation House

From masturbation to DIY toys, this informal and interactive session will explore the themes of women’s sexual pleasure. With resources, artefacts and domestic objects we will create a space to discuss how bodies work and what feels good.

This introduction session is facilitated by Dr Ali Hanbury and Dr Rachael Eastham who have both worked in sexual health services and carried out sexualities research at Lancaster University.

Disability and Sex

Wednesday 6pm @ Pioneer Coffee, Federation House

Explore the challenges disabled people face in accessing a full and joyful sexual and romantic life with two disabled people who have lots of lovely sex!

This workshop is led by Charlie Hallam and Sez Thomasin who are Sheffield based disabled queer sex nerds who want to help everyone get the sex they truly want.

Yes/No&Everything in Between: Consent, Communication & Boundaries

Thursday, 6pm @ LGBT Foundation

An interactive and self-explorative space to find out more about communication, boundaries and consent in sex and relationships.

This workshop is led by Rossella Nicosia who is a psychosexual therapist based in Manchester and the Mental Health lead at LGBT Foundation.

Fifty Shades of Play: Intro to Kink

Thursday, 8pm @ LGBT Foundation

This workshop offers a glimpse into the world of BDSM and Kink, including safety and consent, boundary setting, confidence building, dominance assertion, basic rope-play, and an introduction to toys and aids.

Sex and the Menopause: From Peri to Post

Menopause doesn’t just wreak havoc in our bodies but also in our work life, self esteem, ability to concentrate and often trickiest of all, our sex life. Come together to share your wisdom and experience, and we'll all leave comforted and enriched.

Rachel Morris is leading this workshop and is a Peri Menopausal Psychotherapist & Hypnotherapist, mother, lesbian and author, hoping to offer and receive guidance and encouragement!

Queer Intimacy for Women: A Taster

Explore conscious touch and embodied consent in an inclusive, safer space just for queer women. Suitable for beginners, nervous people, solo attendees and those attending with a partner/friend.

The Art of Sensual Genital Massage

Become more inspired to massage your own or your partners! This workshop will include an in depth demonstration and a fun practical 'make your own genitals' craft session (with plasticine - note no nudity at this event) of different massage strokes that will inspire you to treat yourself as soon as you get home.

All the things you never learnt in school! Join us for a comprehensive discussion of sexual health and wellbeing as it relates to lesbian, bisexual and queer women.

Josina Calliste is an experienced sexual health facilitator and researcher, currently working as the Strategic Lead for Women and PrEP at Prepster.

This workshop is an opportunity for women of colour to come together and explore the impact of race and racism on sex, wellbeing, dating and relationships.
