PATRONS

Sir Ian McKellen (he/him)

Sir Ian McKellen joined LGBT Foundation to launch our Pride in Ageing programme, a support group for LGBTQ+ people over the age of 50.

McKellen is widely regarded as one of the world’s finest actors. He has been a pioneer for LGBTQ rights since he came out in 1988 and co-founded Stonewall UK.

Kerstin Casparij (she/her)

Making waves on the pitch as a defender for the Manchester City Women’s team, Kerstin is a vocal advocate for LGBTQ+ equality.

Kerstin’s patronship builds on the momentum of LGBT Foundation’s landmark campaign This Is What A Woman Looks Like, reinforcing the importance of visibility and amplifying the voices of LGBTQ+ women.

Kunal Trehan (he/him)

Kunal Trehan is an acclaimed designer, television personality, columnist, and author, as well as the Design Director at Touched Interiors.

He supports a number of projects to develop them further for the people who need them most. Kunal seeks to understand the depth of the issue of hate crimes and support LGBT Foundation’s hate crime reporting.

Zelah Glasson (he/him)

Zelah is a trans man, personal trainer and content creator who has built a loyal following by sharing his transition journey with honesty and humour. From documenting hormone therapy and surgery to championing trans visibility, he uses his platform to inspire and empower others. He is the face of
Hope Starts Here, and works with us to advance the rights and representation of trans people across the UK.

AMBASSADORS

Dita Garbo (she/her)

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Dita Garbo (Dan Laws (they/them) when out of drag) is LGBT Foundation’s first-ever Ambassador.

Having publicly navigated their journey of coming out in mid-life as non-binary, Dita has become a powerful advocate for LGBTQ+ representation in later life. Dita’s work challenges ageism in LGBTQ+ spaces and promotes a culture of celebration and inclusion.
