Levelling the Playing Field with Kerstin Casparij

In a year where women’s rights are under threat like never before, LGBTQ+ women and non-binary people are being pushed even further to the margins — leaving many feeling uncertain about their place in society.

At LGBT Foundation, we believe this demands action. That’s why we’re launching Levelling the Playing Field — a bold new campaign to tackle the ongoing underrepresentation of queer women and non-binary people in society and services. With the incredible support of our patron, Manchester City Women’s star Kerstin Casparij, we’re taking this fight to the front lines.

Kerstin is joining us to create a campaign rooted in listening, visibility, and celebration.

Community events to hear directly from queer women and non-binary people

The focus of the image is a young person, smiling to the camera, with headphones on and wearing memorabilia supporting LGBTQ+ causes and with a blue unicorn-themed bubble gun. To their left is another member of the LGBTQ+ community, smiling and wearing glasses and holding a placard with the trans+ colours on.

Too often, LGBTQ+ women and non-binary people face barriers to equality — from healthcare and safety to visibility and representation.

Levelling the Playing Field shines a spotlight on these challenges and amplifies voices from across the country. Because we believe:

Without urgent action, these voices will continue to be silenced. We can’t let that happen.

Your support powers real change. Every donation, share, and action helps us:
