Explore five decades of LGBTQ+ history through a brand new digital archive created in partnership with Google Arts & Culture.
This immersive online experience brings to life stories of activism, love, and liberation from LGBT Foundation’s community and archive collections.
This isn’t your typical online gallery. It’s a curated digital journey through queer protest, pleasure, creativity, crisis, and community. From the early days of grassroots activism to groundbreaking health campaigns and life-affirming cultural moments, it’s all here – told through the words, images, and memories of those who lived it.
You’ll find archive images from pivotal moments in LGBTQ+ UK history, personal stories from those who built – and relied on – LGBT Foundation and posters, flyers, and visual artefacts that shaped the movement.
As we mark our 50th year, this archive isn’t just a tribute – it’s a foundation for what comes next. We’re collecting, curating, and sharing so that future generations know where they come from and what’s possible when community comes together.
