Greater Manchester Police’s LGBTQ+ network invite you to support them in better engaging with our community.
They’re particularly conscious of this ahead of Sparkle weekend and want to open up the opportunity if any community members have questions or concerns to raise before that weekend.
They want first hand feedback around the GMP policing offer to our community, what do they do well, what they need to do better, and what their outreach should look like.
All issues brought to them will be treated confidentially; and the network is made up of staff from all levels within GMP so YOUR input could help shape the policing agenda across Manchester from within.
This event will be hosted quarterly as part of LGBT Foundation’s Community Safety Programme, which continues to play a pivotal role in not only protecting LGBTQ+ communities and supporting victims of crime, but building a bridge between our communities and the police to ensure LGBTQ+ voices are heard throughout Greater Manchester. The Chief Inspector acknowledges that the LGBTQ+ community has a challenging relationship with the police, and wants to drive change with our community’s needs in mind.
Please come along on the 26th June and share this with anyone who may have a story to tell or valuable input that GMP need to hear!
