LGBT Foundation’s Pride in Ageing programme is bringing generations of LGBTQ+ readers together to discuss the Tales of the City series, at our social book club discussion space. In April we will be discussing the eighth book in the much-celebrated series ‘Mary Ann in Autumn’. Published in 2010 the novel welcomes back Mary Ann Singleton, the beloved Tales of the City heroine who started it all. A new chapter begins in the lives of both Mary Ann and Michael ‘Mouse’ Tolliver when she returns to San Francisco to rejoin her oldest friend after years in New York City… the reunion that fans of Maupin’s beloved Tales of the City series have been awaiting for years.
This event is open to anyone aged 18+, participants can choose on the day to join online via the zoom link provided or in person at LGBT Foundation’s Community Hub at Fairbairn House. To be part of this session, please book a ticket via the eventbrite page here and read the book before the event.
The Tales of the City series is widely available from local booksellers and libraries as a paperback and online as an ebook or audiobook. We welcome new readers to the group, you do not have to attended previous events.
