We are saddened to hear about the voluntary liquidation of Manchester Pride. Our thoughts are with its staff, volunteers, suppliers, collaborators and all members of our communities who may be affected.
In recognition of the impact this will have on Manchester Pride staff and suppliers including artists, we are ensuring priority access to our counselling services. This can be accessed by enquiry via our helpline on 0345 3 30 30 30, and is also open to anyone affected by the recent news. We are also offering guaranteed interviews for all Pride staff for the next 12 months.
At LGBT Foundation, we know Pride lives year-round in our hearts, in our communities, and in our shared histories, and the Pride weekend every August is an important moment of progress, partying and protest. As LGBTQ+ spaces and organisations face increasing challenges, it is more important than ever to create and support safe and affirming spaces for our communities. We welcome conversations with any organisation that shares this vision and who are committed to helping LGBTQ+ people thrive.
