LGBT Foundation has signed a joint statement on tackling racism from the Consortium for Stronger LGBT+ Communities:
We are proud to represent charities, community groups and social enterprises supporting LGBTQ+ people across the UK and around the world.
Amid rising far-right protests and racism, we want to say clearly that we stand shoulder to shoulder with everyone in our diverse LGBTQ+ communities, particularly people of colour, Muslims, migrants, refugees and people seeking asylum.
You are seen, you are valued, and you are not alone.
We, like most people in our society, are anxious about the rising division, hostility, and hate that we are seeing on our streets and in the news.
We remain firmly committed to equality, human rights and the rule of law. Our support will never waver. Together, we’re working towards a future where everyone can live freely, safely, and with dignity—side by side, without fear or prejudice.
