The Greater Manchester Sexual Assault Referral Centre is:

Address: First Floor, Peter Mount Building, off Hathersage Rd, Manchester M13 0HY
Hours:  Open 24 hours
Phone: 0161 276 6515

You can attend the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) for a forensic medical examination following a sexual assault.

A forensic exam is carried out by a specially trained doctor or nurse and these samples can be used as evidence in court if you choose to report. These samples can be stored at the SARC until you have decided on your next steps. The benefit of this is that it gives you time to make a decision around reporting without losing forensic evidence.

SARC can also offer tests for sexually transmitted infections and pregnancy; provide emergency contraception, post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) and a Hepatitis B vaccination, following a recent sexual assault.
