What does a Sexual Health Volunteer do?

LGBT Foundation believes that all LGBT people have the right to pleasurable sex. With the resources and services that meet their needs they can also make informed decisions about HIV and STI prevention methods. We also want to equip them to advocate for consent and their boundaries to be respected. If you feel the same, why not join our Sexual Health Programme volunteers?

Sexual Health Outreach Volunteers represent us at events, club nights and are a staple in Manchester's Gay Village. You'll provide our diverse community with brief information and resources, covering everything from condoms and lube and testing services, through to PrEP, PEP and U=U. Your stalls will be stocked with sex guides, sweets, leaflets and cards to cover all bases. If you want to find out more, please have a look at our role profile here.

Sexual Health Diversity & Inclusion Volunteers aim to aid with the community engagement aspect of sexual health education and promotion. You will do so by assisting with the facilitation and delivery of seminars, workshops, training sessions, activities and group work related to sexual health education and promotion. If you want to find out more, please have a look at our role profile here.
