Are you passionate about Pride and supporting LGBT communities? Do you want to help LGBT Foundation create a fair and equal society where all lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people are able to reach their full potential? At LGBT Foundation we are recruiting volunteers to join our team over the weekend of Manchester Pride.

Below you can find information on the programmes recruiting for Manchester Pride weekend, from the 26th August to the 29th, and on how to apply. We'll be updating this page as we get more information on the specific areas, and as any new opportunities emerge.

Manchester Pride: Village Angels Welcome Team

LGBT Foundation in partnership with Manchester Pride have created an exciting volunteer opportunity to get involved in the festival.

We are looking for dedicated people who understand the nature of our work, and want to join in creating and delivering a safe event for all visitors to the Gay Village Party over August Bank Holiday Weekend. This role provides the opportunity to make a real impact by welcoming our communities to the event, and providing a friendly face to visitors as they arrive.

The Parade

LGBT Foundation are again entering the parade for Manchester Pride, and as such we are looking for 100 volunteers to walk in the parade with us.

The parade will take place on the Saturday, and by being one of our parade entrants, you will be an ambassador for LGBT Foundation. We'll want you to smile, wave and cheer as you walk in the parade, potentially offering hand-outs to people as you pass them, and just generally making our parade as fabulous as possible.

The Community Café

The community café is a free, safe community space with a range of activities at LGBT Foundation’s Community Centre on Sackville Street. Community Café volunteers will speak to attendees, tidy the space and support the ongoing activities.

The Expo Stall

LGBT Foundation's stand at the Manchester Pride Expo stall is our chance to engage pride-goers and to promote our pride activities as well as our year-round events and services. Volunteers will help us reach as many people as possible, taking to people and giving out free resources from the stall.
