Foundation Trustee made MBE in Queen’s Birthday Honours

LGBT Foundation Trustee, Glyn Jenkins has been made an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list for services to the community in Greater Manchester.

A long-standing supporter of the leading Manchester-based organisation, Glyn joined LGBT Foundation’s board after his retirement from Barclays Bank, where he worked as a Bank Manager. For the past fourteen years he has held position of Treasurer and has played an important role in helping to shape the strategic direction of the organisation.

Commenting on the announcement, Smyth Harper, LGBT Foundation’s Chair, said:

“Glyn has done so much for the organisation and the local LGBT community and we’re delighted his outstanding contributions have been recognised in this way. We’re grateful for his hard work and the dedication he’s shown to LGBT Foundation and proud to have him as one of our supporters.”
