#TransMCR welcomes new and returning students to Manchester! This month, we're taking a look at trans people in education. How much has the experience of trans people in education changed? Fancy meeting other trans people? Whether you're new to TransMCR or you've been many times, come along and get involved!

Programme:
>> 12pm - Doors open

>> Universities in Greater Manchester - If you attend University of Manchester or Salford, then you can meet fellow trans and non-binary students and travel down with them! Check out our events at facebook.com/TransMCR to find out more!

>> Zine-Making Workshop - Fancy trying your hand at making a zine? Want to find out more about zines? Drop into our zine-making workshop in the Community Cafe throughout the day!

>> 1pm-2pm - Survival Guide to Education - Navigating education can be stressful as trans and non-binary people, so let's discuss how we can get through it! An informal discussion about making our way through education - Group Room

>> 2:30-3:30 - Sam Hope - Being Enough - Do you worry about not feeling enough as you are, as a trans and/or non-binary person? Non-binary counsellor and campaigner Sam Hope will be discussing how we can feel more like #WeAreEnough - Group Room

>> 3:30-4:30 - Voice-Coaching - Interested in trying out some voice-coaching exercises? Drop into this space to try out some peer-supported exercises, for altering or strengthening your voice in the way that's right for you. - Conference Room

>> 3:30-4:30 - Mxer, Non-Binary Social Group - Mxer, the social group for non-binary people aged 18+, will be hosting a space with us. Want to meet other non-binary people and hear more about the group? Drop in and say hi! - Group Room

As ever, TransMCR is designed to be a safe and supportive environment for trans people to meet other trans people, to learn about issues concerning them, and to develop new skills. The event is completely free and family, partners and trans allies are welcome!

Plus all the regular services: Community Café (2nd Floor), Quiet Space (3rd Floor), Prayer Room (3rd Floor), Changing Space (3rd Floor), and Clothing FreeShop (3rd Floor).
