Trans People's Experiences of Care - CQC Workshop

16th April 2018, Manchester

Event Full Details:

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) are an independent regulator of health and social care in England. It is their job to make sure that health and social care services in England provide people with safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care. They do this by inspecting and monitoring the care that services provide. They are developing new inspection guidelines to help inspectors look at whether good standards of care for trans people are embedded into general services.

CQC and LGBT Foundation are working together to gather information from trans and non-binary people about their experiences of care in order to help CQC improve the overall quality of care in England for trans people. This will also help prevent poor care and abuse happening to others in the future.
