Women's Programme: 30 and Out

7th June 2023, 53two, M3 4LP

Event Full Details:

On her 30th birthday, Kit left her twenties, her boyfriend and the closet. While her friends marry, have babies and get mortgages, she is starting from scratch in a whirlwind of drugs, clubs and heartbreak. Join Kit in this hilarious, sexy and painful portrayal of what it means to start life all over again. Is it too late to be a lesbian? Does she need a cat and an undercut? Will coming out complete her?

Using touching interviews, innovative projection and powerful storytelling, Sinclair takes us on a memorable journey about drawing your own blueprint, discovering identity and losing yourself along the way. It’s a coming out story... decades late to the party.

We have a number of tickets available for the performance on Wednesday 7th June exclusively for LGBTQ+ women. We will be joined by members of the cast and crew for a Q&A afterwards!

This show includes descriptions of sexual acts, homophobia and substance use. Every show will include captions which are embedded into the design of the show.

We expect anyone attending with us to adhere to our Safer Spaces Policy.

We will be meeting at 53two from 7pm. The performance starts at 7.30 and ends approximately 8.30. The Q&A will then start at 8.45.

53two is an arts charity and venue in Arch 19 Watson St, M3 4LP. The venue is wheelchair accessible and has gender neutral and accessible toilets. More info here.

To sign up for tickets, please email [email protected]. Tickets are for LGBTQ+ women and non-binary people who want to access an LGBTQ+ women centred space and are first come, first served.

Our Sexual Health team will also be there, so come see us after the show! You'll be able to pick up a free STI home testing kit and other helpful goodies.
