PRE-PRIDE SOCIAL

Join us for a free Pre-Pride Social for people who want to meet others, get creative, and play some games before Manchester Village Pride. Whether this is your first Pride, or you’d like to meet new people before the weekend, this event is a welcoming space to connect before Pride!

What to expect 

We’ll have a relaxed drop-in style space where you can come and go throughout the evening. There’ll be time to chat, make new connections, get creative, and enjoy some refreshments. 

• Speed mixing, 7:30pm–8:30pm: A friendly, optional activity to help people meet new queer friends. We’ll provide cue cards with suggested questions and talking points, so you don’t need to worry about small talk. It’s like speed dating, without the dating! If you’d like to take part, please arrive by 7:30pm. 
• Placard making: Get creative at our placard station, with cardboard, pens, paint, and inspiration available to help you make something to take with you to Pride. 
• Board games, card games and puzzles
• Refreshments: Vegan food and soft drinks will be available. 

Who is this for? 

This event is aimed at people who are attending Pride for the first time, or people who may not know anyone else going, but it’s also open to anyone who would like to connect with others beforehand. You’re welcome to come by yourself, with a friend, or with a group.
