Join us for new social group for LGBTQ+ people aged over 50 which is run by LGBT Foundation’s Pride in Ageing programme. For our May event we will be given a tour of the Fashion Archives at Liverpool John Moores University, followed by a discussion. We will be hosted by Samantha Barker a PhD researcher to hear more about her fascinating project exploring the cultural importance of the tailored suit within the LGBTQIA+ community during the 1970s and 1980s.
You’ll have the chance at the session to participate in a focus group discussion, during which you can share your personal stories related to the tailored suit with the researcher and fellow participants. If you would like to learn more about the research before the event, please contact the investigator at [email protected].
