Join us for our social group for LGBTQ+ people aged over 50 in Liverpool, which is run by LGBT Foundation’s Pride in Ageing programme. In November we will be visiting the exhibition ‘The Mission is the End, the End is All I Want!’ at FACT Liverpool.

Explore Bassam Issa Al-Sabah’s dreamlike worlds of animation, painting and sculpture in a new immersive exhibition at FACT that offers visions of resistance, transformation and queer possibility. In this new work commissioned by FACT, Bassam explores the glossy appeal of digital media – its seductive surfaces, its power to shape desire, and its grip on how we see ourselves. But do these images reveal who we truly are, or have we been taught to long for the impossible?

As always the session will include tea, coffee and cake at a nearby cafe following the exhibition visit, and there will also be an opportunity to walk some of the Queer Places Heritage Trail for Homotopia Festival.

This event was previously advertised as a trip to another exhibition ‘Pride is a Trans Led Protest!, which has now been postponed by organisers Homotopia – we hope to visit this exhibition at a later date.
