Services Officer - Sexual Health

The role of the Services Officer - Sexual Health will be responsible for the delivery of sexual health services, working towards key quality, performance and activity targets. They will primarily be responsible for the organisation and delivery of testing services (including the Nurse-Led Clinic and Rapid HIV Testing Service), condom and lube distribution scheme, men’s workshops and brief interventions. They will also work closely with the Service Officers – Outreach to share the delivery of targeted sexual health outreach and online support sessions. The main responsibilities of this role will be:

  • To deliver a range of services and functions across our sexual health service provision, including testing services, brief and extended interventions, dissemination of sexual health resources and safer sex packs, online support through hook-up apps and outreach sessions across Greater Manchester
  • Support the organisation and administration of sexual health services to ensure that our services are engaging and valuable to those who access them
  • Work to expand the reach and visibility of LGBT Foundation’s sexual health services, to ensure that we're in contact with those most at risk and most in need of our services

Volunteer Programme Assistant

At the LGBT Foundation we recognise that volunteers are integral to the success of our organisation. Alongside the Volunteer Coordinator and other Volunteer Supervisors, the Volunteer Programme Assistant will support the extensive Volunteer Programme of the LGBT Foundation. They will work in partnership to embed volunteering across the whole organisation, develop the delivery of timely and effective volunteer opportunities and strive to ensure that LGBT Foundation volunteers have a positive, impactful and beneficial volunteering experience.

The Volunteer Programme Assistant will support with the recruitment and retention of volunteers, encouraging them to continue donating their time and implementing effective and efficient administration processes. They will build and maintain positive relationships with volunteers and external partners, contributing to making LGBT Foundation an exemplar LGBT organisation.
The main responsibilities of this role will be:

  • To support in the implementation and delivery of the Volunteer Programme, including the recruitment and retention of volunteers.
  • To support in the administration of the Volunteer Programme, including logging volunteer hours and maintaining accurate records.
  • To ensure volunteer records are kept up to date including sending welcome packs, reference requests and responding to volunteer queries.
  • To support in the learning and development of volunteers.

Corporate & Events Manager

The role of the Corporate & Events Manager will lead on increasing our unrestricted income, helping us to meet the needs of our service users and ensure a sustainable future. The initial and primary focus of the role will be to significantly increase income from corporate supporters, however we have potential to grow other areas of unrestricted income and the post will lead on exploration and development of this. This role is suited to a self-starting, motivated, and target driven individual who is a great communicator and influencer.

The main responsibilities of this role will be:

  • Developing and implementing a corporate partnership strategy to significantly increase income and support from corporates and meet in-year targets.
  • Initiating and developing relationships with new corporate partners, ensuring we form long-lasting partnerships through excellent stewardship and maximisation of income generation opportunities wherever possible.
  • Ensuring we develop other areas of unrestricted income through supporting major event and individual giving income stream development.

Policy & Training Co-ordinator

LGBT Foundation is working in partnership with the leading drug and alcohol charity, CGL to ensure that the needs of LGBT communities are acknowledged and addressed in provision of services across Manchester.

We are recruiting a Policy and Training Co-ordinator on a 0.5 basis to help us develop and deliver bespoke training packages to substance misuse service providers on meeting the specific needs of LGBT communities. This role is suited to someone with experience of training delivery and an interest in the field of health care and substance misuse.

The main responsibilities of this role will be:

  • To develop and deliver bespoke training packages to substance misuse service providers on meeting the specific needs of LGBT communities.
  • To develop and maintain excellent relationships with partners, ensuring the success of the project.
  • To work with the Drug and Alcohol Engagement Coordinator and Performance Manager to assess and demonstrate the impact of the drug and alcohol programme.
  • To provide supervision support for volunteers.
