Our Stories

It's important that the voices of lesbian and bi women are heard and their experiences are visible, both when thinking about LGBT issues and women's issues.

Sharing our stories can help raise awareness of lesbian and bi women's perspectives, empower the people who tell then and provide support and solidarity for others that read them.

Click on the links below to read about the real-life experiences of several lesbian and bi women around a range of topics including health, abuse and volunteering.

If you would like to share your story on this page, please get in touch by emailing women@lgbt.foundation.

*Our services for women are for all women who identify as lesbian or bisexual, all or part of the time, including trans women, women of colour, older women, disabled/neurodivergent women, women of all faiths and backgrounds, non-binary/gender fluid people and transfeminine people. We try to make our services welcoming and accessible to all; if you have any specific access requirements, please let us know and we'll try to help.
