Event Full Details:  Hate crime is a prevalent issue within the lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB) community, yet a significant number of cases continue to go unreported. This is reflected in the low number of reporting within Manchester; from statistics released by Greater Manchester Police, 2011 saw just 194 reports were made, a 6% decrease on the previous year. The Lesbian & Gay Foundation’s (LGF) Community Resource Centre is a third party reporting centre for homophobic hate crime. We also offer support and advice to people affected by the issue. The event will be held at our Community Resource Centre, Number 5 Richmond Street, Manchester will include

·         What is homophobic hate crime is and how to report it.
·         Information on what support is available to victims of hate crime, including information from relevant support organisations such as Victim Support.
