Toilets
Imagine resigning yourself to not ever using the bathroom in a public place. For trans people, this is often a reality- trans people often joke about having bladders of steel from having to hold in pee until they get home. If you are in a public toilet and you can’t figure out a person’s gender, don’t worry about it, they are probably just wanting to have a wee! If you are worried about their behaviour, then report them, but don’t be that person who points and stares and embarrasses everyone. Just do your business and go about your day! If a trans person wants to go out and enjoy a concert, sporting event, or simply a day outside the home, he or she must make concessions that most people never have to think about, if you have a trans friend, accompany them to the bathroom if they have expressed they are nervous and support them.
