LGBT Voice: Improving health & care services for LGBT people

The health and wellbeing of our communities is one of our top priorities but we would not be able to carry out much of our work without the support of our volunteers and partners in the health sector.

Over the last three years, our Community Leaders programme has enabled members of the LGBT community and healthcare professionals alike to support health and social care providers in promoting awareness and improving services on behalf of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people.

We are currently gathering information about LGBT people’s experiences of health and care services. To do this we would like to ask you a few short questions that will enable us to better represent the needs of LGBT people and promote more understanding amongst health and care staff of the needs of LGBT communities .

On March 18th we will be hosting a special event to highlight our Community leaders achievements. This will be an opportunity to hear from inspirational speakers and contribute to our ongoing work around challenging health inequalities faced by our communities. You can also find out what is happening with health & social care devolution across Greater Manchester and contribute your thoughts to improving access to health and information for LGBT people.
