What’s sexy? What does good sex mean to you? How do you turn him on? What feels good? The Great Sex Debate is inviting you to an honest discussion with a panel of sexperts about the sex you’re having and the sex you want.
The Lesbian & Gay Foundation (The LGF), in partnership with Manchester Public Health Development Service, are hosting an open and honest evening for men who have sex with men (MSM) to discuss their sex lives and sexual health.
The debate will include a panel of experts chaired by Pete Smith, Senior Health and Wellbeing Manager from Manchester Public Health Development Service. The experts are:
Rob Cookson – Director of Business Development and MSM Sexual Health Strategic Lead (The LGF)
Since 2007, Rob has played a leading role in developing a programmatic approach to sexual health. He’s worked with the innovative RUClear service and he ensured that The LGF was the first lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB) organisation in England to offer home sampling HIV kits for gay and bisexual men.
Dr Adam Bourne – Lecturer (Sigma Research)
Adam has been working with the Sigma Research group since January 2008, and moved with Sigma to London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine in February 2011. Prior to this he studied for his PhD, which explored psychological and sociological constructions of risk within the context of sexual behaviour.
Dr Matt Phillips - SpR GU Medicine (Manchester Centre for Sexual Health)
Matt is a Specialist Registrar and he works from Manchester Centre for Sexual Health at The Hathersage Centre which offers fast friendly advice and free treatment via their daily walk in clinics.

Jake has designed, promoted and facilitated a wide range of courses from LGB awareness, monitoring and commissioning in relation to LGB needs, to goal setting courses for LGB people and other self-development courses.
The aim is for MSM to feel empowered to have the sex they want, while making informed choices about their health and the health of their partner(s).
A finger buffet and refreshments will be provided. The debate takes place on Wednesday 26th February, 6-9pm at The LGF, Number 5 Richmond Street, Manchester, M1 3HF.
