Gaydio Launches on DAB for Liverpool Pride

From 29th July the station will be heating up the airwaves for six weeks just in time to provide coverage for the annual Pride event. The broadcast will feature a number of shows presented from the local area.
Gaydio’s service already broadcasts on FM in Greater Manchester, DAB Digital Radio in London and Sussex and online through its website.
The launch on July 29th will see the station’s become accessible to over 15 million people and is the only terrestrial broadcast service aimed at LGB&T people in the country.
Toby Whitehouse, station Director of Gaydio says “we’re so excited to be launching our Liverpool service. We already have a great following in Liverpool and have supported Pride for the past 4 years and this makes it easier for people across Merseyside to tune in. The huge footprint of our service, covering over 2 million people means that we will be welcoming many new listeners to the station.”
Gaydio is a major partner of Liverpool Pride, a festival which celebrates Liverpool’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) culture.
This year’s festival on August 3rd will see a mix of emerging artists, established artists and an exciting super hero theme.Now with the launch of Gaydio in the area on July 29th, this year’s festival is set to be the biggest yet for Liverpool.
