Pride is coming to Wythenshawe!

Saturday 20th August 2016 will be Wythenshawe's Summer Pride Event. The event will take place in The Forum in Wythenshawe from 10am - 3pm. There will be stalls from local organizations, workshops & activities, music & food and lots more.

Wigan Pride 2016

Wigan’s First LGBT Pride event will take place on August 13th 2016. It is  a cross partnership event organised by BYOU, Wigan’s young people’s LGBTQ+ action and support group, supported by youth workers from Wigan Council’s Voice and Engagement Team.

NHS agrees to reconsider its decision on PrEP

LGBT Foundation are encouraged by the news that NHS England have announced they "will carefully consider its position on commissioning PrEP." The NHS  announced they will reconsider their decision on PrEP, following legal representation from National AIDS Trust (NAT). This is welcome news.

A Tribute to Sir Peter Maxwell Davies

Internationally acclaimed British composer Sir Peter Maxwell Davies has died at the age of 81. Sir Peter was a patron of LGBT Foundation and  the sad news comes just a week after the death of his old friend Tony Warren. We would like to pay tribute to Peter, who was a loyal patron to LGBT Foundation and we send our thoughts to his family and loved ones.

Introducing Macmillan's LGBT Project Worker

We’re delighted to welcome to the team Lawrence Roberts, Macmillan’s LGBT Project Worker who is working with The Christie Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and LGBT Foundation to improve knowledge, understanding and support for LGBT people affected by cancer via the LGBT Cancer Support Alliance group.

'Proud 2B smokefree'

Smoking, Vaping, Cancer & the LGBT community. 'Proud 2B Smokefree' is an ongoing project around smoking and vaping which aims to highlight the disproportionate numbers of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) people who both smoke, vape or combine the two, and explore how this may link to an increased risk of developing many different types of cancer.

HIV and sexual health charities unite in action against gove…

Greater Mancs: Taking Charge of Health & Care
