We’re looking for a Funding Manager to join our well established team based in Central Manchester.

Role: Funding Manager

Salary: £28,461 - £31,980 per annum (plus 10% pension, subject to completion of a six month probation period)
Special Terms: Maternity cover (for up to 6 months, with the possibility of extension)
Accountable to: Director of Business Development
Accountable for: Funding Officer

We are looking for an innovative and experienced individual to manage our statutory income, grant funding and venue hire functions.  This will be to cover a period of maternity leave for the current post holder.  However, we are an ambitious charity that recognises the need to diversify and respond to challenges that we face.  As such, there is a possibility that the right candidate could help us develop our tendering and contracting capabilities once the maternity cover has ended.  If you have the skills to develop excellent Trust and Foundation applications, as well as the ability to strengthen our tendering approach, or develop the skills to do so, this is the perfect role for you!  For the duration of the maternity cover, your responsibilities will include:

  • To research and identify sources of funding, creatively matching them to organisational needs and ambitions for growth.
  • To secure successful funding applications to a range of local and national sources, supporting the running and future sustainability of the charity and its services.
  • To exceed the expectations of funders, maintaining positive relationships through ensuring that they are appropriately thanked and kept informed of progress.
  • To support Earned Income through overseeing Venue Hire income stream.
