The topics are broad definitions, e.g. Discrimination: Education
will contain information about discrimination experienced at
all levels of education, as well as information on tackling

A keyword search will return statistics containing the specific
search term. Try using several related terms, such as "young
people", "youth", "teenagers" or "16-25" to increase the
amount of information your search returns.

Cis gender Refers to someone whose gender identity is the same as that they were assigned at birth
GB Gay and bisexual
Gender dysphoria Describes the condition whereby a person feels that their gender identity does not match the sex that they were born with
HPV Human Papilloma Virus
LB Lesbian and bisexual
LBT Lesbian, bisexual and trans
LBW or LABW Lesbian and bisexual women
LGB Lesbian, gay and bisexual
LGBT Lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans
LGV Lymphogranuloma venereum
MSM Men who have sex with men
STDs Sexually transmitted diseases
STIs Sexually transmitted infections
Trans Umbrella and inclusive term used to describe the whole range of people whose own gender identity and/or gender expression differs in some way from the gender assumptions made about them at birth and from the consequent biological sex assigned to them. Some research applies this term only to those who identify as transgender or intersex, while other research also applies it to  anyone who feels that the gender assigned to them at birth incompletely or does not at all describe their own innate gender identity. Transition Describes the point at which a person undertakes a permanent change of gender (can include surgical reassignment but may not)
