Women's Programme: Wellbeing Laughter Workshops
13th October 2022, Fairbairn House, Manchester
Event Full Details:
Wellbeing Laughter is a unique concept where anyone can heartily laugh intentionally without the need for humour.
Laughter Yoga is a special exercise routine with simulated laughter and deep Yogic breathing. By using proven laughter exercises and deep breathing, there are many health benefits – this hearty laughter creates positive chemicals to be released, stress levels to drop, and we become more resilient to challenges - there are many other health benefits too.
LGBT Foundation's Women's Programme wants to help all LGBTQ+ women to empower themselves, to feel more confident, and to have fun. Step outside your comfort zone and join us for these sessions in a supportive environment for LGBTQ+ women!
Feel free to come to just one or two sessions, or all four! Each will cover a different area:
- Wellbeing Laughter for Burnout - Thursday 6th
- Wellbeing Laughter for Stress Reduction - Thursday 13th
- Wellbeing Laughter for Confidence Building - Thursday 20th
- Wellbeing Laughter for Creativity and Playfulness - Thursday 27th
Loose clothing is recommended, and water will be available, but feel free to bring your own water bottle.
Please do bring your willingness to participate and trust in your faciltator’s expertise, to help guide you to a whole new experience and connection. Sara Kay of Serious Laughter will be your Wellbeing Laughter Teacher, using her wealth of experience, passion and empathy to provide you with a whole new experience
