Independent Choices Greater Manchester LGBT Independent Domestic Violence Advocate 

Independent Choices in partnership with LGBT Foundation is seeking to recruit to a new and exciting post of LGBT Independent Domestic Violence Advocate to support LGBT victim/survivors of domestic abuse from across Greater Manchester. The aim of the project is to ensure that LGBT victims/survivors of domestic violence have access to an LGBT IDVA who will offer support, signposting, advocacy, risk management and safety planning.

The successful applicant will be a highly motivated, flexible and enthusiastic individual and will be based primarily at Independent Choices whilst spending regular time at LGBT Foundation’s premises in Manchester City Centre.

Terms: NJC point 26 -28 £23,166 - £24,717 (incremental pay rise subject to successful annual appraisal)

Plus 7% non-contributory pension (currently under review)    

Flexible 35 hours per week, with some evening and weekend work; 30 days annual leave entitlement.

Casual car mileage allowance at 45p per mile.

fixed term contract until end November 2017
